How to Prepare For Your Class

We look forward to you joining us for our Red Cross training and certification.

Our classes are held at the Navy League Building at 2300 Wilson Blvd.

2300 Wilson Blvd, Arlington VA 22201

We have a few guidelines that will help our classes and students receive the highest quality training.

How to prepare for class

Wear comfortable loose fitting clothing. Most classes will have participants bending and spending time standing on their knees on the floor, so comfortable trousers are recommended. Please let instructor know about any physical limitations you may have. As long as you are able to perform CPR effectively and follow cognitive steps you will be able to get certified.  It is recommended to familiarize yourself with classroom material. Study guides are available for purchase but are not required. Please bring pen and paper to take notes. The CPR/FIRST AID/AED certificate is digital and we will need a valid email address you can access to send you a link to your certificate.

Refund policy

Class fees are not refundable, however, you are welcome to reschedule for a later date. No-shows and late arrivals will be able to reschedule for a later date with no extra charge. If you are late you will be asked to reschedule as too much material will be missed to complete the training.  Please be courteous to your classmates and arrive promptly on time.

Food and Beverages

We allow food and beverage in our classroom, however we ask that students do not bring crunchy or loud food, such as chips or candy that are in cellophane or other wrappers.  Please also do not chew gum.  The good rule of thumb is that if we can hear you eating, you are wrong. You are welcome to bring food and beverages that would not distract participants from classroom activities, please refrain from alcohol and offensive smelling foods and beverages as a courtesy to classmates.  Light drinks will be provided.

Children, Infants or Babies

Unfortunately we do not allow any guests, children, infants, babies or pets during our training.   Any students who bring children, infants, babies or pets to class you will not be allowed to participate and will not receive a refund of your class fees.  We do not provide onsite childcare.

We are interested in child and baby-friendly classes specifically for new parents so if you are interested please email us and let us know and if there is enough interest, we may be able to coordinate such training.

Parking

Street parking is available as well as a fee parking at the garage located under the building.

We do not suggest parking in metered spots on Saturday as there is a 2-hour limit and Arlington is aggressive at ticketing expired meters.
